Contributed by: Melissa Hellmuth on 8/12/2008

A Message to Our Community from the 1 st Judicial Judge Brian Boatright:

"Child abuse and neglect can be found in ever community, even the "best" of neighborhoods. Young victims need to have a CASA volunteer at their side, because these amazing men and women from the community help us ensure that children find safe, permanent and nurturing homes. Please consider becoming a CASA volunteer."

Here's How You Can Help Make A Difference

Each year in Colorado, more than 11,000 children are abused and neglected. You can make a difference in their lives by becoming a CASA - court appointed special advocate. Right now there's a child in your community who needs you. CASA training starts September 2 nd, 2008, so call CASA of Jefferson and Gilpin Counties today and find out how you can help.
