You've seen them in restaurants (we love to go out to eat before a dance!). You've seen them on television (You know, the ads for Aleve?). You may have even seen them at the Health Fairs (after all, it's wonderful exercise!) You've heard about square dancing being Colorado's official state dance (several hundred gather each September to dance in the state capitol rotunda). Now, you too, can see what the fuss is all about!
Rollin Wheels Square Dance Club is holding a fast-paced set of lessons, for those interested in learning to square dance, without the hassle of weekly lessons all semester. This is more than the Virginia Reel you did in grade school. Today's square dancing is fast, mind-challenging and physical - just what the doctor ordered.
Lessons are for anyone, ages 10 and up (an adult must be present for children to attend), and for singles as well as couples.
Lessons will be held on four consecutive Saturdays, beginning Sept. 13 th, from 9 am - 4-30 pm. There will be a break for lunch and an afternoon break. They will be held at Hatzis Hall, 952 Moss St, in Golden, a quick drive from Colorado Mills.
Cost for all four of these lessons will be a flat $100/person, if you pay the first week. Now you will be able to attend classes in a concentrated form, allowing you to enjoy the full, fun dancing experience that much sooner!
Call Del Holz at 303-984-2390, Patty Hoerr at 303-798-2955, or Mary Ann Forman at 303-989-5658 for more information.
At this rate, you will be able to attend all the holiday parties and dances, with full confidence! And there are several New Year's dances, too! Such a great way to get the exercise we need, meet new people and make lasting friendships with the wonderful people that do this great activity! Who knows, you may even want to attend the World Senior Games in Utah, in October. We always have several couples from the Denver area attend. There are also several groups open to teenagers or adults who are interested in exhibition dancing. The world is yours - seize it - and come to lessons to begin square dancing soon!
