Abs workout class draws a crowd
Contributed by: Karen Groves /YourHub.com on 9/10/2008

The Exerball class at Wheat Ridge Recreation Center was packed with people following directions from Kris Briganti on Sept. 9.

Connie Nelson marketing coordinator, said, "The 75-minute workout tones and sculpts your body into that lean and mean look. Exerballs, weights, body bars and bands are used to strengthen and tone your entire body while increasing balance, core strength and muscular endurance. Stretching is included at the end of class."

Nelson said since it's a drop-in class people can come any time they want and as often as they want by just paying the drop-in fee when they do come.

The class is held from 10 to 11:15 a.m.Tuesdays and Thursdays upstairs at the rec center, 4005 Kipling St., Wheat Ridge.

According to Nelson, a new kettlebell class at the rec center is so popular it's already full. Directed by certified Russian Kettlebell instructor Jason Wood, the exercises are designed to burn calories and tone up muscles.

Nelson and Wood said a level two class would be announced the beginning of next year.

Call 303-231-1300 or visit www.ci.wheatridge.co.us to find out about the other classes offered at the rec center.
