The store manager told police a woman had entered the store with her dog and had let the dog sniff the beef jerky on display near the counter. The man told the woman she needed to take the dog out of the store. The manager said he had to throw out the beef jerky. Shortly thereafter, a man entered the store and started yelling threats at the manager and said he was going to "Kick some (expletive)." The man and the woman with the dog then left in a silver sedan. Police attempts to contact the man were unsuccessful. The case is pending further suspect information. WOMAN SUSPICIOUS OVER ANTIQUE SALE At 2:30 p.m. June 23, a woman came into the Wheat Ridge Police Department to report a suspicious incident. The woman, who recently began selling antiques, said she was at the Brass Armadillo, 11301 W. I-70 Frontage Road, on June 22 and observed two men walk into the store and ask if there was anyone able to appraise some items. The men were referred to an older woman who is a vendor at the business. The men gave the vendor an assortment of Tiffany silverware, a teapot and a sugar bowl in return for $170. The woman who witnessed the incident told police she thought the woman might be a con artist because she believed the items to be worth as much as $10,000.
