DOG HIT BY CAR
On Sept. 16 at 11:23 a.m., police responded to a report of a dog that was hit by a car at the 3600 block of Allison Street. Upon arrival, police witnessed a grey Weimeraner lying in the road. The dog had obvious face and body wounds. The driver stated that she stopped after she realized what had happened. The dog suffered a broken ankle and a contusion.
DOG LOCKED IN VAN WITH FOOD, WATER
On Sept. 16 at 1:23 p.m., police responded to a report of animal cruelty at the Interstate 17 Inn at 4735 Kipling Street. Upon arrival, police discovered a yellow Lab-mix lying on the floor beds of a green Mercury minivan. The dog had been provided food and water and appeared to be in good health. Police attempted to get in contact with the car owner but attempts were unsuccessful. Officers informed the reporting parties to call them again if the dog should appear in distress.
MAN HARASSED BY CALLER
On Sept. 16 at 10 a.m., police responded to a harassment complaint in the department lobby. A man stated that a collection agency had been calling him asking for a unknown person. Officers informed him to provide them with a number if it should happen again.

WIFE PUNCHES HUSBAND OVER CATS
On Aug. 29 at 8:39 p.m., police responded to a domestic disturbance report at the 5900 block of Everett Street. The reporting party, a 29-year-old male, informed police that his wife had struck him with a closed fist across his face because he had not put the cats inside the house before dark to, which he responded by saying, "That's it. I'm done." His 43-year-old wife of three years was taken into custody and charged with municipal assault domestic violence. The woman was later bonded out by a close friend.
FATHER GRABS THROAT, PUNCHES CHILD
On Aug. 29 at 10:16 p.m., officers arrested a 44-year-old male on assault in the third degree for punching his daughter and resisting arrest at the 7100 block of Dudley Drive. The man grew violent when his daughter brought him back the wrong meal from Wendy's restaurant. The juvenile suffered wounds to her face.
