CITY OF WHEAT RIDGE INTRODUCES NEW CHANNEL 8 PROGRAM

TOP OF THE HOUR NOW AIRING

Wheat Ridge, CO ­- July 1, 2008 - The City of Wheat Ridge is now airing a new COMCAST Channel 8 program called "Top of the Hour." The 30 minute magazine style show has been produced to help educate citizens about the important issues facing the City. The show will air on Wheat Ridge's Government Access Channel 8. Mayor Jerry DiTullio serves as the host of the show. The show was produced at various locations around the City of Wheat Ridge and features elected officials, staff and key stakeholders who are knowledgeable about the City topics featured in each show. The first show will air through mid-August providing an in depth look at the topics of "Drainage, Growth and Development."

"The City is very excited about Top of the Hour," said Mayor Jerry DiTullio. "We need to be doing all that we can do to educate our citizens about the important issues facing our community and utilizing Channel 8 is one way to get the information out to citizens about the opportunities and challenges surrounding drainage, growth and development in our community today and in the future."

Top of the Hour airs Monday through Friday throughout the day at the top of the hour during the following times:

Monday 9 a.m., 4 p.m., 10 p.m.

Tuesday 7 a.m., 7 p.m., 9 p.m.

Wednesday 9 a.m., 4 p.m., 10 p.m.

Thursday 7 a.m., 4 p.m., 10 p.m.

Friday 9 a.m., 5 p.m., 10 p.m.

Saturday 7 a.m., 10 a.m., 4 p.m., 7 p.m., 9 p.m.

Sunday 11 a.m., 5 p.m., 7 p.m., 9 p.m., 10 p.m.

The City will produce a total of 4 Wheat Ridge Top of the Hour shows during 2008. A copy of the monthly Channel 8 schedule can be accessed via the City's Web site at www.ci.wheatridge.co.us, click on "About" and click again on "Channel 8."

"Realizing that only a portion of our population has access to Channel 8 through their cable subscription with Comcast, residents can check out a copy of the program for ten days from our Assistant to the City Manager so that they have an opportunity to view the program," added Mayor DiTullio.
