Dr.
Kenneth Palmreuter has been appointed principal of Bethlehem Lutheran School in Lakewood for the 2008-09 school year.
A native of Michigan, Dr. Palmreuter served Lutheran schools in the Detroit area prior to coming to Colorado in 1987, when he became Executive Director of the Colorado Lutheran High School Association and principal of Denver Lutheran High School. Since his retirement in 2002, he has been serving as an interim principal in various Front Range Lutheran schools.
A graduate of Concordia University in Illinois, Dr. Palmreuter received his masters degree in educational administration and supervision from the University of Michigan. In 1995 Concordia University in Nebraska granted him an honorary doctorate. His "claim to fame" is that while serving as their principal, three schools were recognized as "Blue Ribbon" schools by the U.S. Department of Education, Denver Lutheran High School being one.
Bethlehem Lutheran, a Christian school serving ages three through 8th grade, is located at 20 th and Wadsworth in Lakewood. The school offers before and after school child care as well as a stimulating summer camp program.
