My family: My husband Jerry, 3 children, Terri, Tom and Lance, 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren

Education: 2 years of college

What I do: City council District IIfor 4 years.

Favorite place to hang out: Home

What I like most about living here: This is my hometown, and I love the closeness of the community, the easy access to everything and the hometown atmosphere.

Interest and hobbies: I love to exercise, spend time with the family and crochet.

My favorate thing to cook: Lasagne

People who inspire me: My husband, who had a lung transplant 8 years ago. He is so courageous and never complains.

How have I contributed to the community: I have spent 25 years serving my community, first as an elected clerk for 21 years and city council for 4 years.

Biggest issues facing Wheat Ridge now: Declining housing stock, infracture, drainage problems.

Why am I running: This council has worked hard the last 4 years, and has started many positive things, such as convincing the citizens we needed a sales tax increase, created WR 2020, Cabela's, Wadsworth corridor master plan, Fruitdale master plan, widened Youngfield street between 38th and 44th. Economic development and hired more police officers. I want to continue to see the things we have started come to fruition.
