The City of Wheat Ridge is very excited about the upcoming remodel of Wheat Ridge High School. I wanted to give you and update on the fund raising efforts that have occurred concerning the two new synthetic turf fields.
Estimated cost of two synthetic fields At 32nd/Holland St. (upper fields): $600,000
Contributions (Actual or Committed):
Community - $22,000
City of Wheat Ridge - $50,000
Wheat Ridge Rotary - $15,000
Wheat Ridge 2020 - $20,000
Wheat Ridge Optimist - $500
Jefferson County School District -$150,000
Jefferson County Open Space - $300,000 (Pending IGAs between all parties)
Total Committed Funds: $557,500
Remaining funding needed: $42,500
The two new synthetic fields at Wheat Ridge High School will cost a total of $600,000 based on the estimates acquired by the Wheat Ridge High School athletic staff. The field committee will continue to pursue the final funding.
We are almost there!!
