Thank you, Jeffco voters
Contributed by: Kathy Hartman on 11/20/2006

As your newly elected county commissioner, I want to thank everyone in Jefferson County who voted -- whether you voted for me or for my opponent. Voting is our most important tool in influencing our government, and I'm pleased that 70 percent of Jefferson County's registered voters participated in this election.

I also want to thank my opponent, Dave Auburn, for a fair and honest campaign. I also want to thank him for his service to the citizens of Jefferson County for the past 21 months.

I promised the citizens of Jefferson County open and accountable government. As a start to that, I invite you to visit my Web site at www.kathyhartman.org and sign up for my periodic newsletters. You can also e-mail me at kathy@kathyhartman.org with any ideas, input, questions or concerns that you have. It will take me some time to get "up to speed" on a wide range of county activities and services, but I will try to respond to you in a reasonable time frame.

I am both honored and humbled to serve as your commissioner. I wish everyone reading this a very happy Thanksgiving.

Kathy Hartman
Jefferson County Commissioner-Elect
