Note from Jerry DiTullio (10/30/2005): A Julie Perez and a Maryann Lebrowski have attacked Citizens for Common Sense and myself in some postings below. Their attacks are amatuerish at best. And their names cannot be located in the Jefferson County Voter List as registered voters in Wheat Ridge. We find that very intersting.
"Julie" and "Maryann" try to switch the focus of this article since they cannot logically argue against it. The reason for this posting is the proposed Storm Water Tax and is from a concerned group of citzens who actually live in Wheat Ridge, including candidates Mike Stites, Terry Womble and myself. We do not want any Mayor rubber stamping this issue or any other issue for the current politicians after the election. Enjoy!
It's 2005 and Wheat Ridge is surrounded by three large municipalities - Denver , Lakewood and Arvada. Wheat Ridge deserves a Mayor and Councilmember who can represent the city in a professional, pro-active and articulate manner.
Jerry DiTullio (Mayoral Candidate) and Mike Stites (Dist. III Council Candidate) are experienced and dedicated to helping Wheat Ridge flourish and remain a viable city. We endorse these fine candidates because they have demonstrated leadership as members of Wheat Ridge City Council. Mike and Jerry are also dedicated to the integrity of the public process. Jerry and Mike have publicly stated that a new city-wide residential and commercial storm water fee (tax) must be voted on by the people rather than solely approved by City Council. Mike and his family have lived in Wheat Ridge for 53 years and own a small business in the city. Jerry is a Colorado native, has lived in Wheat Ridge for 22 years and is married with two children. Mike has served on Council for 2 years and Jerry has served for 10 years.
We need them to help protect our pocketbook! And best of all, both have exhibited common sense in their decision making! This election is a mail-in ballot. Be sure to sign and date your ballot envelope and mail your ballot by Oct. 27th.
