Golden, CO – April 14, 2005 -- Denver Broncos Quarterback, Jake Plummer, Family Tree, and Coors Brewing Company held the 12th Annual Celebration of Achievement on Thursday, April 14, 2005, at the Mount Vernon Event Center.
The celebration allowed Family Tree to honor its service recipients, both individuals and families, who have overcome numerous obstacles in their lives to achieve self-sufficiency. In addition, awards were given to individuals in the community who have provided a variety of important products and services to Family Tree and its service recipients.
Keynote speaker for the event was Denver Broncos Quarterback, Jake Plummer. Early in his career Jake realized that others are not as fortunate as he, and wanting to help, he created The Jake Plummer Foundation. Jakes' passion for giving is contagious and he invites you to join him in working to better the lives of many.
At the April 14 Celebration of Achievement event, Jake made a significant contribution to Family Tree on behalf of The Jake Plummer Foundation. The contribution of $75,000 will help Family Tree in its efforts to provide safety and shelter to metro Denver children and families. Last year Family Tree served nearly 23,000 persons through direct services and its crisis/information hotlines. The Jake Plummer Foundation was established in 1999. The Foundation's mission is to provide opportunities for sick and abused children, as well as to raise funds and generate awareness for Alzheimer's disease.
