Wheat Ridge/CDOT agree to left turn signals
Contributed by: Office of the Mayor on 7/30/2006

The Mayor's Office and the Wheat RidgePublic Works Dept. have been working with Colorado Dept. of Transportation (CDOT) to install left turn signals at 32nd and Wadsworth Blvd., (east/west bound) and for the Wheat Ridge Recreation Center at 39th and Kipling.

I spoke with Pam Hutton from Region 6 of CDOTon 7/28/2006 and the turn signals have been approved by CDOT for the 32nd and Wadsworth Blvd. intersection for both east and west bound traffic. The new turn signals will be installed in the next few weeks by CDOT.

We will have a decision on the left turn signal for the Wheat Ridge Recreation Center in the next week or so. The work with CDOT has been a technical and political process by Wheat Ridge. I would like to thank Pam Hutton for her efforts on behalf of the City Wheat Ridge.

These left turn signals have been requested by many citizens over the years. I am elated to finally report progress.

UPDATE:
The turn signal for the Wheat Ridge Recreation Center has been approved also. Approval came on 7/31/06. The signal will be installed by CDOT in the upcoming weeks.
