Treacherous driving conditions in Wheat Ridge
Contributed by: Lisa Stigall on 12/20/2006

Along with the state, Wheat Ridge Police are discouraging travel during this storm.

Wheat Ridge is experiencing treacherous conditions around the Wadsworth/I-70 interchange between West 48 th Ave. and West 52 nd Ave. This area should be avoided if at all possible.

The slope of the street and the volume in which the snow is falling is making this area very difficult for road crews to keep clear. Vehicles are not able to make it up the hill and/or are sliding down the hill causing significant traffic backups and delays.

Lisa Stigall is a public information officer for the Wheat Ridge Police Department.
