Doves take to the sky during Easter service
Contributed by: Erin Feese/YourHub.com on 3/23/2008

To conclude Olinger Crown Hill's Easter service on March 23, a flock of white doves was released into the air. As the white birds circled overhead, the sounds of Amazing Grace drifted from the speakers. Many onlookers were moved to tears by the beautiful sight.

The nondenominational Easter worship was held at the Pavilion of Reflection at Olinger Crown Hill Mortuary, Cemetery and Arboretum, 7777 W. 29th Ave. in Wheat Ridge.

Rev. Elias Burgos officiated the service for about 100 guests.

"I've never celebrated Easter in a cemetery before," he said. "But it is fitting, as Easter began in a cemetery."

The service was accompanied by harp music played by Star Edwards.
