Thank you to person who replaced dirty flags
Contributed by: Midge Taylor on 7/13/2008

I live in the Wheat Ridge area and every day I pass the flags on the corner of Wadsworth Boulevard and 52nd Avenue. The flags are on the southeast corner.

Those flags were very soiled and it bothered me, so I called a couple of organizations, to no avail. The week of June 23, I called the Arvada mayor's office. His receptionist, who was very pleasant, put my concern to "the powers that be" in her computer. A couple of days later, the flags had been replaced with clean, new ones.

I called the mayor's office again. His receptionist wasn't really sure who replaced them. I just wish to relay my thanks to the department and persons who replaced them. My trust is renewed that one person can promote something.

Thank you,

Midge Taylor
