Wanted: Vintage softball players

The Colorado Cougars Inc., a senior softball organization in the Denver metro area, is looking for players to compete on two teams in the local area and one travel team. Our home field is Prospect Park, W. 44th Ave. and Robb, between Ward Road and Kipling St. in Wheat Ridge.

The Cougars are registered with the Colorado Senior Softball Association in two local leagues, playing double-headers on Monday and Wednesday mornings from April 21 through mid-August. Mondays are for players in their 70s and Wednesdays are for players 50 and over. Teams competing in these leagues are from various communities in the Denver area. Most of our 70s players who play on Mondays also play on Wednesdays, and we encourage new players to join us on either or both days.

Our travel team competes in the 70s age group in the AA division at national tournaments. Most of our travel team members also play in the local leagues.
