According to their website, the purpose the Colorado EAGLES league gymnastics is "to provide a low-pressure, positive meet experience to beginning gymnastics competitors". In the EAGLES league Lake's has both compulsory and optional gymnasts.

In the compulsory level all gymnasts compete the same routines on all four events; vault, uneven bars, balance beam, and floor. The Colorado EAGLES program uses the same compulsory routines as USA Gymnastics (USAG) and Lakes will have level 4 through 6 compulsory girls competing USAG in the fall. Gymnasts are judged on their execution of each routine and receive up to a 10.0 on each individual event for a total possible all-around score of 40.0. The gymnasts must receive a 30.0 all-around score at some point during the season to participate in the state meet.

In the optional levels gymnasts create their own routines on each of the four events and can choose tricks that they enjoy performing. The girl's favorite part of the optional levels is choosing their own floor music. The Lake's gymnasts this year leaped, danced, and flipped to selections from The Monkees, Shakira, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Mission Impossible, and Miley Cyrus. The scoring system is the same but these gymnasts must receive a 32.0 all-around score to participate in the state meet.

Lake's Gymnastics Academy is located in Wheat Ridge and the girls are coached by Emily Bostwick-White, Heather Draudt, Andrea Rau, and Scott Land.
