The i9 Youth Sports basketball season finished with a couple of exciting events with the Colorado 14ers NBA Development League team that's based in Broomfield.
During i9 Sports' final night of games, 14ers players P.J. Tucker, Rick Rickert, and Mile Ilic visited with the thrilled i9 players, teaching skills, showing them new tricks, and signing jerseys, balls, shoes, and many other items. The players were especially awed at the dunking abilities of the 6-5 Tucker, 6-11 Rickert, and 7-2 Ilic in i9 Sports' home gym at Woodrow Wilson Academy in Westminster.
Two nights later was i9 Sports Night at the Colorado 14ers game against the Los Angeles D-Fenders at the Broomfield Event Center. The kids got to join the 14ers Dancers and team mascot William T. Goat in the fan tunnel prior to the game. Six-year old i9 Sports player Indiana Yancy was chosen to run onto the court and gather up the toy basketballs thrown onto the court as part of an intermission promotion. It was a great time for all and the 14ers won the game, 114-96.
