Mussings and other irrelevent stuff
My blog is about writing and such. As an author, I like to explore the thoughts of other writers--their pet peeves, how-to's and any old thing at all that comes to mind about writing.

When your muse goes missing
Contributed by: Diane White   on 11/19/2007

I've had occasion lately to find my muse leaving town - without me. Alas, this is a real problem when you're working several projects, and trying to meet a deadline. Sometimes I just keep writing, hoping it will come back. If that doesn't work, then I go off and work on some other creative thing, like photoshop or staring at the proverbial belly button.

When all else fails, I go back to writing [though much of what I write may be tossed in the garbage] and hope for the best.

What do you do when your muse goes missing?

Sometimes my muse hides in the bottom of a Makers Mark bottle. By the way, how did you photoshop that guy's head on my body? Really, that's what I look like underneath all the fat!
