Conscious Evolution and the World Around You.
This blog will discuss the idea of conscious evolution and how world events may impact that personal or global process. It will also discuss clashing cultural aspects and what we can do to see past our differences and work towards acceptance of our fellow human beings.

"All we did was create the space for the painting to happen and let it paint all by itself" - Tales from the Tao page 177
A few things have occurred to me over the past few days. During my practice of Aikido, I realized that often I was not creating enough space between me and my partner. For that reason often my technique was not able to flow as well from one movement into another. I found that the second I made this adjustment suddenly the energy that passed from my partner to myself was more workable.
I have also noticed that if you create space in all of your life for things to happen, that is if you create opportunities for growth and experiences, they tend to fall into place in the best way possible for you at the moment. It seems that in simply allowing there to be space for opportunities, and space for there to be change, all the hard stuff in life moves out of the way and it is easy to watch the sign posts for the right direction on your spiritual path.
I think it is hard to learn to create space however, it does in fact require absolute trust that you are going to have the exact experience at the exact time. Good or bad you must trust that each experience is worth your time and each experience will teach you not just something about yourself but others. If you felt you didn't learn the lesson, or you really didn't learn anything and go on to the petty blame game then you will once again have a similar experience.
Creating space is about letting the experience happen and yet remaining objective. It is not about using force against force in martial arts, it is about creating space to see how off balance your opponent already is. At that point you need simply let go of your opponent and remain in your own calm center. The rest will take care of itself.
