We are finally here. Semi nested in our home. Kids have made great new friends at school, gotten involved in activities and have a ton of neighborhood friends. Home run of a move. Couldn't have gone better had we scripted it ourselves. Yet, despite how well things are going, I can't help but desperately missone personfrom back in Dallas. You would think it was one of the girl friends that I went to lunch with or had mommy's night out with or a family that you could stop in on at anytime or count on in a pinch. Nope. None of these people. I DO absolutely miss everyone from Dallas but lets face it, life with three children has you WAY too busy to long for too many people. Especially when you are spending what little free time you have returningall of those friends and family'semails, instant messaging them or talking on the phone with them! The person that I am missing right now is my ERICA! Erica was a wonderful woman we adopted into our family years ago that came once a week to help me with those little things like floors, laundry, bathrooms and whatever miscellaneous home chore had escaped me during the week. She was a tremendous help some weeks but just there to handle a few odds and ends on other weeks. Erica was a fixture of our family that we will never be able to replace but desperately want to try to duplicate! I know, I know....I am a stay at home mom. What business do I have wanting someone to come help me clean my house? Well, between nursing a baby, keeping up with two older childrens school, activity and social calendars I'd rather have someone come help than sit and feel guilty about not getting a bathroom cleaned. I signed up to be a stay at home mom to spend time with my children..not to spend all of my time cleaning. So again I ask., "ERICA WHERE ARE YOU?" If anyone knows of an Erica please send her my way! I don't want the impersonal service that brings a crew of six people to clean each week. I want an Erica!
