Coach Belichick shows he's a leader.

There were more than a few 2nd and even a few 3rd-guessers about Patriots Coach Bill Belichick's decision to go for it on 4th and 2, on his own 28.

His team was 6 points up on arch rival Indianapolis Colts with a few ticks left on the game clock.

The play came up short, and Peyton Manning and company scored, and won the game. WHY DIDN'T HE PUNT? DOESN'T HE TRUST HIS DEFENSE??

I don't know, ask Coach Belichick.

Had the play worked of course, the talk would have been of Canton instead of the Dog House. He's headed to Canton anyways.

The Patriots have a great record of converting on 4th downs, making far more than they don't. More and more coaches both in the pros and college now look at 4th down at another chance to move the ball, keep the ball and score.

You see, this is what sets Belichick apart from most other coaches in the NFL. He's a leader and plays at a level higher than most.

Great leaders take risks. Most times they pay off, sometimes they don't. The point is they have the courage to take risks.

Playing it safe in life, business or the playing field is just that, safe. Risk taking wins Superbowls.

Coach Belichick has more wins that most.

He's a leader and I admire that.
