Black or White?: Doesn't Matter!!
Contributed by: Samantha Mirabal   on 10/26/2008

I am so tired of people saying "the only reason people will not vote for Barack Obama is because he is black." There is plenty of things this man stands for, to disagree with! Those who proclaim Barack is not being given a fair chance because he is black, in my opinion are just trying to play the "minority" card. Sure there may be people here and there who are so ignorant as to be racist in their voting choices; but for the most part on a whole this is not the case. I think there is a last minute "poor Barack, people are racist and not voting for him because he's black" tactic going on! Trying to make people feel sorry for him because there are a small amount of racist people among us. The media is seemingly trying to hunt down these racist people and put them on the news. I appreciate the fact that this man may be facing some prejudice but however I do not appreciate that, being used to gain "sympathy" votes. I am intelligent enough to look at the issues at hand, see where the candidates stand, and make an informed vote. By the way, I have done just that. Low and behold guess what? I'm not voting for Barack, and it's NOT because he is black. I know, I know. Take a minute to let that sink in. If John McCain were black and Barack were white yet they were the same on issues as they are now, guess what? Yes, I would be voting for a black man!!

I want a man in office that will stand up for the lives of unborn babies. Barack will not do that and McCain will. I want a man in office that will keep marriage in this country as between one man and one woman. McCain will allow a Federal Amendment for this and Barack will not. I want my homeschool freedom to be protected. McCain has said he supports homeschooling and Barack well... has been a little to silent on this topic. These are the issues that mean the most to me and this is why I will vote, the way I vote. Now for those of you who are like yes protect life but, what about war? Yes people die in war, it's true. Those brave men and women signed up for the chance to fight for the USA: the country they love! Unborn babies however have NO choice!! Let's think a minute. All of us were in our mother's womb at one time. Looking back to that fact would you have wanted her to kill you then and there for any reason? Most sane people would say of course not! What kind of question is that? Well if unborn babies were given the chance to live and have a voice they would probably say the same one day! Let's end this horrible act of murder once and for all!! McCain will choose Supreme Court Justices that will hopefully be instrumental in over-turning Roe v. Wade. If that happens I'm telling you it should be a National Holiday: Something to celebrate as much as the end of the Jewish holocaust!! Why would I say that? Because the murder of human life is WRONG!! Period! Guess what all you big timers that tried to brainwash my generation: I'm pro-life and I'm not an old lady!!!
Wrong is wrong even if you try to teach it is right!! Truth will prevail!!
