JonBenet: Not really new news
Contributed by: Travis Henry   on 7/9/2008

When I came across the headline of Boulder District Attorney Mary Lacy 'clearing' the Ramsey family today I thought for a moment I had landed on a wayward page of the Wayback Machine.

A judge five years ago all but cleared the Ramseys and Lacy at the time said she agreed with the analysis and started the hunt for new suspects.

Too bad one of those suspects came courtesy of a wacko CU professor.

Some really smart people have been pushing the intruder theory for years, but just because they may have been right doesn't mean the Boulder County District Attorney's Office could handle it.

This case has been muddied from the start (ummmm, maybe just a bit of an understatement) and left numerous people wounded, and even a few dead, in its wake. The real news today, I guess, is Lacy offering up a formal apology letter to the Ramsey family.

Hopefully the next time this case pops back up into the public eye it will be because of some real news. Maybe Mary Keenan Lacy's wish to John Ramsey will come true and one day a DNA match will be found and lead to the solution of this crime.

Ping me when it happens.
