Clara's tea party
Contributed by: Ariana Marsh   on 11/21/2006

With the Nutcracker approaching, we wanted to give a little taste of what it was all about. Parker dance decided to hold a tea party where all students could come, drink tea and eat small sandwiches and desserts and watch small excerpts from some dances.

A ton of little girls showed up and were all very cute and excited. All of the "senior" dancers got to serve food at the party. It was fun walking around and seeing all of the little girls' dresses as I served them yummy food.

Then, it was time for the dances. I ended up only doing two excerpts from my dances. I did bits of snow soloist and Marzipan. Although there were difficulties with the music, it all ended up fine!

After that I was suprised when some of the soloists had to go and sign their pictures that little girls had received for party favors. It felt silly since I'm only 15 and not famous. Hah. Clara's tea party was really a fun time for older and little girls.
